Community Shared Agriculture
CSA farms offer fresher, healthier alternatives to produce picked too early and shipped for hundreds, even thousands of miles before making it to your plate.
Farmers receive payment prior to the start of the growing season. Subscribers receive a weekly share of the farm's bounty. Communities know their farmers.
The community shares the risks due to weather and other factors beyond the control of the farmer.
CSA farmers work in a manner that will not deplete field nutrients or value for generations to come. Healthy soil produces healthy food.
A full share feeds a family of four $500 (half shares are available)
Baskets are ready for pick up on Friday afternoons starting in June and continue each week until Thanksgiving. Baskets are lighter in the spring starting with greens, asparagus, strawberries and increases in size as the season progresses. Herbs and flowers are always available to be picked fresh.
